About Us

Prudence and Josh are Registered Dietitian Nutritionists who will help you achieve excellent health that you can maintain for life. We provide personalized, one-on-one nutrition counseling for men, women and children.  We share a common vision in our counseling philosophy: a focus on small, realistic steps to empower and motivate our clients to choose foods that nourish and heal both body and soul. Our non-diet approach encourages clients to build a healthier relationship with food, one that is sustainable and knowledge-based. Our combined 40 years of experience and commitment to continuing education enable us to provide up to date, medically proven and sound nutritional information.

We provide nutrition counseling and education in a compassionate, approachable way to meet each client where they are in their process, assessing their readiness to change and using scientifically proven behavior change therapies to help them move towards success.

We communicate regularly with doctors and/or other health care providers (with the client’s permission) so that we can further tailor each nutrition plan. This healthcare team approach results in individualized, consistent, and safe care.

Together, Josh and Prudence are thrilled to be working to meet the nutrition needs of the island community. They purchased Vineyard Nutrition from Denise Guest in February 2012. Denise started Vineyard Nutrition in 1988.

What is a Registered Dietitian?

Registered Dietitians (RDs) are food and nutrition experts who complete either an undergraduate or master’s degree in human nutrition. They then complete a comprehensive internship program (up to one year in length) and then pass a nationally recognized board exam in nutrition. RDs work with your doctor to help you treat any nutritionally related problem you are facing. They focus on your personal and family medical history, medications, nutrition supplements, lifestyle, and goals. They will offer you real advice that fits into your life.

Josh and Prudence are Accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Licensed with State of Massachusetts.
